From farmboy in Northern Wisconsin, growing up and working 360 days of the year. To college an hour away from the farm, Slight drinking to moderate drinking to excessive, then an OWI. In trouble with the law and fleeing the law. Indulging in weed and making the party scene an idol in my life. All the while working at a well-known delivery company and holding two additional jobs. Still going home on the weekends to help Family on the farm out of a feeling of dedication. Moving to Green Bay to "turnover a new leaf"
Continuing the delivery company job and partying even harder until cocaine came into the picture which wrecked his newfound marriage, divorce and losing his house and kids.
God allowing this to happen to turn everything around. 2 to 3 hours each day In The Word through this two-year divorce. Creating a passion and desire to serve the kingdom of God and to Jesus for help and support.

What Are You Thirsty For? Ep. 34

A shorter recording that reflects on episodes 31-33. The stories hold similarities and the messages have themes that are worth being highlighted. There is added scripture for deeper understanding. Addiction, or anything that we yearn for, is unable to meet our deepest needs. The "threads" that run through three interviews speak into that. "What are you thirsty for" is drawing you to be aware of what you might be settling for that is less than God's best for you, what you may be using to replace God as the rightful King of your life, and who is the true source of all joy, hope, and peace - despite your circumstances.

No Testimony Without a Test | Brian's Story

Brian grew up milking cows on a Wisconsin dairy farm and gave his life to Jesus at seven, then spent years living a double life - church on Sunday, crack and cocaine the rest of the week. After his marriage ended, God brought him to his knees. He shares how running to the Word, letting go of idols, and Christ-centered recovery rebuilt his life, and why saving faith has to reach the heart, not just the paper.
