Hi, I'm Sarah. I didn't discover my message in a seminary — I found it in a small visiting room at my local jail.
For over a decade, I've volunteered as a mentor with Fox Valley Jail Ministries, sitting across from incarcerated women whose desperate cravings for destructive substances mirrored my own hunger for God and His Word. That realization sparked this podcast: I want to help people who deeply want their lives to change but don't know where to start.
Maybe your struggle isn't substances. Maybe it's shopping, doomscrolling, sugar — anything that promises happiness but leaves you empty. The Addicted to God Pod is about breaking those destructive cycles by cultivating the one healthy addiction: God Himself. Each episode offers practical, foundational guidance for anyone desiring a deeper, more intimate relationship with God and His Word.
When I'm not podcasting, you'll find me leading women's Bible studies at Alliance Church Appleton, writing a book, and holding one-on-one mentoring sessions with people who want individual attention. My husband and I live in Appleton, Wisconsin, where I enjoy coffee, reading, traveling, time with family, our four dogs, and being outdoors in God's creation.
I'm so glad you're here. Pick an episode and let's get started — and let's get addicted to God together!
